See? You’re smiling again already! Or possibly sighing heavily at our terrible puns. Either way, don’t worry – our root canal dentists with a special interest are much better at getting your tooth healthy again than they are at standup. Look, we know root canal can sound a lil’ scary – but don’t listen to all that propaganda. Our experienced endodontists are here to make your root canal treatment as quick, easy, and stress-free as possible at our super zen Ealing dental clinic.
Why you might need a root canal
You’re most likely here because your dentist already told you that you’ll need a root canal. But why is that? Well, a root canal is usually necessary when the pulp (the soft tissue inside your tooth) becomes infected or inflamed, usually due to a deep cavity or injury. This can cause severe pain, sensitivity, and even abscesses. In some cases, you might not feel any pain at all if the nerve in your tooth has died (R.I.P.)
Let our team get you smiling again from root to tip!
So, how is a root canal done? First, we’ll numb the area around the tooth to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the process. Then, we’ll create an opening in the top of the tooth to access the pulp before removing it and cleaning out the root canals. Once the canals are clean, we’ll fill them with a special material and seal the opening with a temporary filling. You’ll then need to return to our practice a few weeks later to have a permanent filling or crown fitted.

The best dental practice in the area. I have visited the practice twice now and the experience on both occasions were great. Dr Sahil and Dr Colin made me feel at ease and explained everything in detail. I also have to mention Dipti at reception who lovely and provides great service. Highly recommend Dickens Yard Dental!

I recently visited Dickens Yard Dental as a new patient and was seen by Dr Sahil. He was extremely friendly and made sure to explain everything in detail, often stopping to see if I had any questions on what he had explained. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I felt that Dr Sahil was very knowledgeable and provided excellent care.
